A Busy Fall October 29th, 2011 |
I currently have 3 landscapes juried into "Encantada-2011", the Rio Grande Art Association's annual fall show which will be on view until January 4th, 2012 at the African American Performing Arts Center at 310 San Pedro, NE, Albuquerque. Earlier this month I participated in the 23rd Annual Fine Arts Show in Corrales at the Old San Ysidro Church. Also twenty-three still life paintings and 10 small unframed still life pieces were displayed at Las Chivas Coffee Shop in Eldorado during October. It has been a busy fall. Now to focus on next year. In the meantime, happy holidays to you all. Be safe and well.

Award at Rio Grande Art Association Show October 23rd, 2010 |
I recently won a Third Place Ribbon with a cash prize for my painting in the "Encantada 2010" Show at the Inn at Rio Rancho in Albuquerque. It was a 20x24 still life called "Betty's Copper" named after my mother's cousin whose copper collection came to me through her 4 daughters. I used a copper vase and a platter with an Aztec figure with a pair of yellow apples to contract with the pink of the copper. I was very pleased to say the least. The cash award took me on a painting trip to Ghost Ranch last week.

Representation in a Santa Fe Gallery May 30th, 2010 |
I have recently been accepted in the Arlene Siegel Gallery here in Santa Fe where she is showing only pieces from my New Mexican Kitchen Series. My larger works, the still life paintings and my landscapes, are still available at my home studio in Eldorado. The gallery is located in El Centro at the intersection of Water Street, Shelby Street and The Old Santa Fe Trail. I'm very pleased. I sold 2 the very first day. Molly

Welcome to my blog May 30th, 2010 |
First thing I want to share is that I've been mentioned in the May issue (which features Santa Fe) of American Art Collector Magazine. Check out page 67, I'm listed as #6, see my ad on page 71 and I have a half page with a painting on page 73. I have no idea how they found me, but I am thrilled.
Currently I am in a show called "Celebrate the Western Trail" at Red River Valley Museum in Vernon, Texas and have 2 paintings in the Nomadas del Arte at Southwest Gallery in Dallas, Tx. I have had 2 paintings in New Mexico's Masterworks Show and have participated in a group show here in Eldorado called "Art Mix". The Eldorado Studio Tour is just around the corner, May 15 and 16. See you then. Molly |
